Dr. Jamye Hardy helps people and organizations grow to their best. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker, a Higher Education Administrator-Practitioner, Non-Profit Board Member, Creative, Influencer, Educator, and Comedian.  She is no stranger to the stage when it comes to hosting and keynote speaking, as well as acting and stand-up.  Jamye finds value in improvisation from the opportunity to engage with play and practice going with the flow, and enjoys spending time in nature, listening to music, and loving her dog.

Jamye’s experience stems from work as a higher education and community case manager, a therapist at a residential treatment faculty and college, and a student affairs professional in first-year experience, advising, housing, mental health, and academic success.  Dr. Hardy has also taught at the associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree levels for social workers, seminarians, and pre-helping professionals.

Jamye is a native of Nashville, TN, and earned her Honors College Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Western Kentucky University. She then obtained her Doctorate in Education in leading Learning Organizations and Strategic Change from Lipscomb University.

Jamye Hardy is passionate about recognizing the connections between mental health, student success, and leadership, and connecting clients to resources that meet their holistic needs. Her approach to practice is grounded in the strengths perspective, cognitive-behavioral approaches, solution-focused brief therapy, and cultural competence, where she intentionally centers interventions on personal strengths, mindset, goals, and cultural background.

Jamye believes intervention effectiveness and subsequent help-seeking behaviors increase when the value of intrinsic abilities and available resources are recognized.  Jamye similarly leads collaborative projects with organizations on efforts around experienced-based learning and community engagement opportunities.

Jamye maintains her wellbeing by attending live music concerts, practicing yoga, enthusiastically cheering on the Titans (NFL), the Grizzlies (NBA), and the entire WNBA, and collecting experiences through traveling around the world (South Africa, Tanzania, Germany, France, Austria, England, and Canada so far) and in her own backyard with her rescue Pitbull- Rhodesian Ridgeback, Nala.

Dr. Hardy is an active citizen within her community as a board member at the W.O. Smith Music School and Unscripted improv, an advisory board member with Promise Land Heritage Association, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
